Steam is the king of distribution platforms when it comes to having amazing games on it. Seriously, there are so many amazing games that you can play on Steam right now, you can easily lost count. In this article, we look at the best games on Steam. Let’s have a look.

Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds

PUBG took Steam by storm last year when it was released as an early access game, and while a lot of people in the start said that this will never come out of early access, it beat the odds, and became the top most played game on Steam. Right now, PUBG is enjoying 400 million players across different platforms, and is definitely here to stay for a long, long time. I have to say, this game is a lot more addictive than you might know in the first place, and you are certainly going to enjoy it a lot.

GTA 5

You might think that an old game like this has no place on Steam at the moment, but you would be wrong. The fact that Rockstar is continuously supporting this game through updates is something that is commendable to say the least. Plus, the game has an impressive online community where you can carry out a lot of craziness that was otherwise not possible. If you truly want to enjoy the experience, definitely check out GTA 5, and I can assure you that you will have a lot of fun playing that game for sure.

DOTA 2

Even though  DOTA 2 is no longer the game that sits on top of the Steam charts, that does not mean it is not good enough. People still follow the game religiously, and it still is a major part of the e-sport industry. The best part is that DOTA 2 is free to play, so you have a lot of people playing all the time. The game is hard to master, but extremely rewarding, and the best thing is that you can start it any time you want without any issues whatsoever. The experience is rewarding.

Far Cry 5

Being the disappointments Far Cry 4 and Primal were, my expectations with Far Cry 5 were on the lower side. But open playing the game for the first time and realise that Ubisoft has overhauled everything about the Far Cry 5 and made this game so much better was a shock to me. Far Cry 5 is undoubtedly one of the best, most engaging first person shooting games you are going to play in the modern day and age. It looks amazing, and plays even better, and I can’t be happier with how the game is. It gives you a lot.

Resident Evil 7

After Resident Evil franchise took the scenic route and decided to become an action game rather than a horror one, fans all around the world were enraged to say the least. However, with Resident Evil 7, we saw the series take a complete turn and become a first person horror, survival where you are not a super soldier, but just an ordinary man. This made the game so much more tense, and scary that you would need to be careful at every single turn. Resident Evil 7 is among the best Resident Evil games you can play.

Outcast: Second Contact

While there are many who claim that horror games are slowly dying, Outcast is the game that looks to prove everyone wrong. I will be honest, this is the type of horror game that every needs to play if you are looking for genuine horror. I am not talking about jump scares as that is the part of the game. This game will genuinely scare you, and that is saying something. You will have a great time playing this game, and that is a guarantee. Just keep the lights on, and the volume on medium.

Counter Strike: Global Offensive

If the list has Dota 2, it is safe to say that Counter Strike: Global Offensive has to be on the spot too. Remade from a new engine, the CSGO scene exploded as soon as the game came out, and became one of the best, and most played games on Steam. To this day, CSGO remains one of three most played games on Steam, and for all the right reasons. Sure, the community can be a bit toxic, but that’s just a small issue that most online games face. Other than that, CSGO is engaging, and a lot of fun.

Conclusion

If you have just made an account on Steam, and you are looking for some good games to play, then this list will certainly help you find the best possible games you can. Sure, there are plenty of more, but these are great if you want to just start.
